Firwood & District
Residents Association
Welcome to the web site of the Firwood & District Residents Association. The association was formed in September 2008 with the aim of promoting and representing the interests of the area and its residents.
Membership of the association is open to everyone resident within the area. We intend to provide recreation, social and education facilities for the benefit of all in our community, and in doing so, work with the local authority and other agencies on a strictly non-political basis.
PACT Meeting
The next PACT Meeting will be held in Mills Hill School on Monday 14th June at 6.30pm.
Is there a surveyor out there?
The Rochdale Canal adjacent to Firwood Park
Within the local area there is a potential problem with a retaining wall which we believe to be unsafe. We need a professionally qualified surveyor living within the association area who would be prepared to render a professional opinion on this issue. Please see News page for full details.
Pantomime Photographs
A selection of photographs of the pantomime 'Dick Whittington and His Remarkable Cat', performed by the Tuesday Activities Drama Group, are available to view and copy prints are available to buy.
Activity Evenings
The classes have resumed at Mills Hill School on Tuesday evenings. There will be Street Dance, Football and Tag Rugby starting at 6.30pm, with Drama classes and Dance Aerobics following at 7.30pm and finally, starting at 8.15pm, Holistic Fusion sessions.
